One thing I've learned as a premed?
The internet is littered with free information.
Some of the BEST advice I've ever gotten came from random people on the internet, older premeds, and mentors who dropped tiny "breadcrumbs" that completely changed how I approached this journey.
Today I'm passing along three of my favorites! :)
🍞 Breadcrumb #1: MedSchoolCoach Virtual Shadowing
Finding shadowing can feel IMPOSSIBLE sometimes.
You email doctors...
Wait forever...
Get ghosted...
And suddenly it's been 3 months!
That's why I LOVE virtual shadowing.
No, it doesn't replace in-person experiences.
But it does let you learn from real physicians, hear patient cases, and explore different specialties while you're still searching for those in-person opportunities.
Definitely worth checking out if you've been struggling to find shadowing.

🍞 Breadcrumb #3: The $20 Study Upgrade
Anki is a online flashcard platform, that many premeds use to study for their science classes and the MCAT. Check if out if you haven’t already. And if you already use Anki, this is your sign to buy the remote!
It's one of those purchases that seems unnecessary, until you realize you're using it EVERY single day.
Being able to flip through flashcards while walking or stretching makes long study sessions so much more manageable.
Definitely one of my FAVORITE study purchases!
Being a premed isn't about finding one magical resource.
It's about collecting little breadcrumbs that make the journey just a little easier.
